Kicking off its Tour de France coverage, the Times wanted to re-educate readers about Lance Armstrong and cycling’s most storied race. This double truck page featured capsules of Lance’s victories, his life story, Tour stages / elevations, challenges, key opponents and successors.
As the Red Sox got ready to take on the Yankees, the Times ran a column comparing the two storied franchises and their recent post-season prowess. I turned Fenway’s Green Monster scoreboard into a simple infographic showing the four playoff meetings and each teams’ world championships.
