During a second summer at the Sun-Sentinel, I received a batch of Gap advertising slides. None of the individual slides could run larger than about 4 inches, so I improvised, creating this clothesline – even lending my own pants for the photo. It received a Society of News Design Award of Excellence in 1999.
For this cover of the Sunday Oregonian, I gathered artwork for the top ‘teaser menu,’ selected photos for the stories and designed the page.
